Cooking with the Seasons -

A Tasmanian Culinary Experience

A wicker basket filled with bright yellow lemons, green leafy herbs, and herbs on a white kitchen countertop near a window with a scenic view of trees and water.

Duration: 5.5 Hours (approx.)

Cost: AU$295.00 per person

Time: 10.00am to 3.30pm

Guests per class: 2-4

In this hand-on class I will endeavour to share with you the bountiful Huon Valley produce that our small-scale farmers, artisan producers and orchardists work so hard to create. This experience is all about showcasing and creating something tasty from the best of what’s available AND in season. I will choose a selection of ingredients from our local growers and producers in the Huon Valley and create a culinary experience for you that is based around the best of what is in season.

I will share with you a range of cooking techniques along the way, that include but is not limited to knife skills, stock making and sauce making. I love to share the “why” behind the methods I use, as this information encourages a deeper understanding of fundamental culinary methods. My hope is that you can take these with you and make your own with your kitchen creations.

We will prepare a meal that we will enjoy together at table, matched with a Tasmanian wine.

Inclusions: Recipe folder, morning tea, lunch paired with a Tasmanian Wine
